The University Human Rights Committee (UHRC) is seeking  CUPE 4163 representation for a one or two year term on both UHRC Advisory Groups – Employment Equity (EMAG) and Educational Equity (EDAG).

“The mandate of the University Human Rights Committee can be found here.  The University Human Rights Committee is an advisory committee to the President on equity and human rights issues. The intent is to develop as consistent an approach to human rights and equity as possible across all employee and student groups, to enhance communication and co-ordination between groups and committees serving common ends, and to foster the acceptance of individual and institutional responsibility to respect the human rights of all members of the campus community.”

EMAG meetings schedule:

Mon Dec 17 (1:00-2:30), Wed Jan 23 (10:00-11:30), Wed Feb 20 (10:00-11:30), Thurs Mar 28 (1:00-3:00),  Wed May 1 (10:00-11:30)

EDAG meetings schedule:

Mon Dec 10 (1:00-2:30), Mon Jan 21 (1:00-2:30), Mon Feb 25 (1:00-2:30), Mar 28 (1:00-3:00), Mon Apr 29 (1:00-2:30)

All meetings are held in Sedgwick 168, except the joint March 28th meeting, which will be in the SUB Upper Lounge
