How the Continuing Sessional Allocation is Calculated (Component 3 Collective Agreement: Article 24)
See the Continuing Sessional Status Calculation page for how the calculation works
- The Unit Allocation for a Continuing Sessional is calculated by the average number of units taught over the last four years. The average will be rounded to the lower 1.5 unit increment. When the number of units taught in the most recent of the four years is higher than average, the average will be rounded to the nearest 1.5 units. If the average is equidistant, and the number of units taught in the most recent year is higher than average, the average will be rounded up.
- If you teach in more than one department, your total units taught will be considered but there will be a separate calculation for each department based on the number of units taught in each department.
